Heating denatures proteins and thus sometime no clinical response to cooked allergen in mildly allergic
Skin prick testing (do get false positives)
Blood IgE specific to the allergen (previously was RAST - radioallergosorbent test)
Generalised
- Egg 9% (usually one of the proteins, white > yolk), ⅔'s grow out by 5yo (nb Flu/Yellow Fever Vaccines grown in egg)
- Peanuts
