Airway
- Bronchiectasis (CF or otherwise)
- Foreign body aspiration
- Airway trauma from coughing
- Deep suctioning in I+V
- Infection: TB, aspergilloma, Influenza
- Trauma: lung contusion
- Coagulopathy: Plt, factors, anticoagulants
- Idiopathic pulmonary hemosiderosis (haemosiderin: insoluble intracellular iron storage complex)
- if associated with Coeliac > Lane Hamilton syndrome
- Acute idiopathic pulmonary hemorrhage of infancy
- Catamenial haemoptysis (pulmonary endometriosis)
- Pulmonary capillaritis
- Vasculitis: microscopic polyangiitis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis (formerly known as Wegener's granulomatosis), anti-glomerular basement membrane disease (Goodpasture's), systemic lupus erythematosus, Henoch-Schönlein purpura, immunoglobulin A nephropathy, and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome
- Drug: Phenytoin, retinoids acid
- PE
- AVM
- Iatrogenic (e.g. Swan-Ganz catheter perforating pulm art)
- Cardiac
- Congenital HD (ones leading to increased vessel pressure)
- Pulmonary oedema (pink frothy): Congestive HF, Altitude
- Pulmonary hypertension
